Well let me just say that I have a new appreciation for missionaries, mothers who send off missionaries, girlfriends who send of missionaries, etc. . . It was so hard yesterday to hug Drew for the last time in 2 years. Even though I wouldn't want him doing anything else for the next 2 years, it was an emotional day and so hard to say good-bye. I was reading a talk by L. Tom Perry this morning from the last conference and thought of Drew. The first quote especially reminded me that Drew is going to love the people of Scotland and grow a lot from serving them. He is definetly a people person!

"Please recognize that while your teaching as a missionary may be persuasive, only the Spirit converts."
"We remind you that where much is given, much is required. We issue the call again for all spiritually, physically, and emotionally qualified young men to come forth prepared to become missionaries in the Church of Jesus Christ. "

Oh Car, stupid me, I started at the bottom! HE'S GONE!!! I mean, HE'S THERE ALREADY!!! WOW! What a wild ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!! You're just gonna love it and every picture he sends home... every letter, its just such an awesome experience both to serve but even more interesting to be the one living it vicariously. Im so excited for all of you! Tell your mom we love her and I hope she's doing ok. Drewby will do great. Really, since they raised the bar...He was so ready to go otherwise they woudnt have sent him! :) We will be praying for him daily.
Ah, it's been a while since I did the MTC drop off thing, but I remember crying really hard. Especially when they sing called to serve and when they go out one door and you go out the other. But like the comment before, it's so neat to get all of their letters and watch them grow spiritually, and with most missionaries..their waste band grows too. :-) I can't picture Drew chubby though. He'll be such an amazing missionary and your family will be blessed because of it.
