Basketballs and Mission Calls

My husband lives for basketball season. He was pretty much in heaven this weekend at the first aggie game of the season. They played SUU and won. We enjoyed more basektball Saturday night as the Jazz killed the Kings. We had great seats, too, thanks grandpa!

The biggest part of the weekend was this guy:

Drew's "farewell" was Sunday. He did such a good job speaking, I think we were all a little blown away to hear him bear his testimony and talk about how excited he is to go and what he did to prepare. Of course I cried through most of the meeting. I can't believe my little brother is old enough to leave on a mission. I'm glad he flies right to England to go to the MTC, I think that will make it a little easier to say goodbye at the airport, not the MTC. Anyway, Scotland is getting a good one. He's going to be great.

Here are some pics of the festivities on Sunday-

Ah, I can't believe he is leaving so soon! They are getting a great missionary, I love that kid. You'll have to keep us posted on how he is doing. Your pics are so cute...such a cute family. It's good to see the Parson clan..they're so cute!

Hopefully we can make it to at least one game up at the spectrum..I still remember seeing Mike there early saving seats...what a fan! We'll have to go to a game together

Carly,

I have been looking at your blog. That is too much work for me! As I was looking at the USU sports section it occurred to me that you still have quite an affect on college football teams. Your year at the "U" was their only perfect season and now you are helping the Aggies to have a perfect football season! It is neat that you still have that ability. Only this time, they may ask you to transfer! I hope everything is going great for you, besides football!

John,
It appears I have lost my effect on USU's football team because they WON a game Saturday!! And their basketball team is struggling so I'm not living up to my abilities very well. It was good to hear from you, I hope everything is going well with you and your family. I miss you guys!
