Give-ups & Goals

The last two weeks have felt like one great big weekend. I have basically had the last 2 weeks off, and Mike has had a few days off here and there which has been nice. I'm not ready for the reality that will hit come Monday morning. School. Work. Cooking dinner. Good thing I have another weekend to prepare myself.

I love the beginning of a New Year, thinking about everything that happened that year and everything to look forward to. Here's a glimpse of 2008 in pictures-A few things I will remember about this year:
-Mike started a new job.
-I got a flat tire in the school parking lot while Mike was in SLC. Phil had to rescue me.
-Grandpa Kropf passed away in March.
-We bought new couches that wouldn't fit through our front door. Our neighbor helped us pull
out the windows in order to get them inside.
-I passed the political science class from hell and kept my scholarship.
-We went to Jackson Hole (first time I'd been there) over Memorial Day and then spent our 2nd anniversary there.
-Our washer hose broke and flooded our washroom and basement.
-We welcomed a new member to our family, little cocanut :)
-I took a business trip to Georgia.
-Mike and I locked our keys in our cars at least 4 times each. It seemed like we were always
leaving work to go help each other out!
-Coldplay concert.
-We bought a new car.
-We had lots of date nights, including basketball games, reading (for Mike it was all the Harry Potter books, for me it was Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, The Host, and New Moon), and enjoying working on our house together.

One of the blogs I stalk is this one. I like Chloe's idea to set goals and give-ups instead of making resolutions which only make me feel guilty and rarely do I follow through. So here are my very acheivable goals and give-ups for 2009:

GIVE-UPS:
Spending money on unnecessary items.
Gossping.
Diet Coke. Gasp! It's my favorite thing in the whole world. But I think the time has come that we part and go our seperate ways.

GOALS:
Take a trip somewhere awesome with Mike.
Exercise 3 times a week.
Graduate.
Go to the temple more often.
