celebrate good times

*mike did so well in his grammar course that he doesn't have to take the grammar test before applying to the business program. this makes his english-major wife very proud.

*i got an A in science and never have to take it again. hallelujah.

*coco wanted to snuggle this morning. . . she is not allowed on the bed but i was so tired that i didn't even notice her jump up, sneak under the covers, and rest her head on my lap as if she was always meant to sleep right there.

*got the christmas cards printed. my mom will be so proud that i'm sending them out this year.

*we got a new car. we sold mine faster than expected (the ad was only on ksl for 4 days) but we found exactly what we wanted as we raced to find something. it's a white ford fusion. it's lovely and much fancier than what i was driving. paige is excited that she won't have to roll up her windows or lock her doors manually anymore.

*i have lost 7 pounds since starting weight watchers a few weeks ago. by the end of the year, i will have lost 5% of my weight and have 20 pounds to go until i reach my ideal weight.

*lots going on this weekend that will help us get in the christmas spirit: attending and setting up for our church party, 2 trips to the gym (i'm sure this will get me excited for christmas, i'm just not sure how), finishing neighborhood gifts, speaking at a baptism, rehearsing for choir program, and partying with the fam at my grandma's house. so much to celebrate this time of year! i love it.

Wow, you do have a lot to celebrate! I'd come sing to you, if I had any daughters still left at home. They were the ones with the good voices. The rest of us are barely mediocre.
