Time is measured right now by completing tests and meeting deadlines. And when I successfully meet and complete said deadlines, I have to reward myself a little in order to stay motivated.
After my Abuse and Neglect test yesterday, I went to Home Depot (Mike was very upset I went without him) to buy tiles for a Christmas project. Then I spent a wonderful hour walking around Borders. I could aimlessly wander around that store for days, lost in the shelves of books and smell of new pages. I need something good to fill the void now that I'm done reading Pride and Prejudice again. I forgot how much I love that book. If you can just make it past the beginning, you will be rewarded in the end. I picked up and put down Anna Karennina twice but talked myself out of buying it. To finish celebrating yesterday, Mike and I went to his parents to watch the Utah vs TCU game. GO UTES! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they play better on the 22nd because we really need to beat that team from down south.
When we got home, we had to break in to our own house because we both forgot our keys, and of course the spare key was sitting inside on the washer instead of outside where it should have been. Mike used a trick he learned on his mission, and let's just say it was way too easy to break in. We will always use our deadbolts now! I'm still not sure why he learned how to break in to houses on his mission, but he claims they did it sometimes to get inside big apartment buildings that had locks on the main entrance. That's what they all say.

yeah for treating yourself a little bit! That is so funny that you guys had to break in- we had to do that once and brad got us right in. He gave me the same story about learning it on his mission- whatever! But I was really glad that he could do it!
Sorry you got locked out of your house. I remember when we moved and Tim was down helping us, we left to go somewhere and when we came back our key was sitting on the counter..Good ole Tim crawled through the kitchen window..haha! I walked around the corner from coming from the front of the apartment to the back, and all I saw was Tims legs sticking out of the window..haha!
I'm glad you rewarded yourself somehow. I could spend hours in any type of bookstore too.
You should totally come down this way on a Saturday that Mike works. It would be way fun!! :)
I agree- Borders is the best! I am interested to learn more about your tile Christmas project... And Jud would also be mad if I went to Home Depot without him, not that I ever would.
I highly recommend Anna Karennina. CT and I got in from Itunes... its super long, but you'll probably make it through faster if you just read it yourself. But its very very good. Similar to reading an Austen, the relationships and details...
Thanks Suze- good to know!
ha i'm interested in why mike learned how to break into houses on his mission too...brandon learned how to make spit bubbles fly out of his mouth....glad they worked hard right?! sorry about having to do the pee test....you know there are plenty other people who that test would be more effective for right ha
