One Step at a Time

I've never been one to enjoy exercising (honestly- who enjoys exercising?) but I decided that jogging has been quite theraputic for me lately. My sweet neighbor and I have been going and it seems that she really understands some things I'm going through right now. Her advice has boosted my spirits a lot.

Yesterday, Coco, me, and my ipod enjoyed a jog up to the temple and around Logan. It's so beautiful right now. I love this season. Coco loves it, too. She's definitly a water dog. Any time she sees water, whether it's just running in the gutter or in the canal by our house, she spazzes out because she wants to play in it. I had to keep a tight grip on her leash or she would have jumped right in and probably sunk to the bottom. Not a great picture because it was taken with my phone, but it makes me laugh how her ears perk up and she carefully inches closer and closer to the water. She loves it.

Having only my ipod and Coco to keep me company was exactly what I needed to feel better. As corny as the song is, I'm pretty sure that during our walk I was singing out loud to Jordin Sparks "One Step at a Time." We all know how I sing loud in the car, what's wrong with singing loud while you're jogging? I keep repeating the lines of the song to myself because it describes exactly how I'm feeling right now.

Hi Carly! I totaly agree... I hate exercising too, but I started running a few weeks ago, we should totally go together! I mean since we live so close! :) I hope you're doing well... hope to see you very soon!

I also went through a spell where I liked jogging. It was weird. And then I realized I liked jogging, got annoyed, and ate a piece of cake.
Glad you like it. Next time stop by my house. I live right by the temple!

Running is the best- only when you are really motivated. I go in spurts where I really enjoy and then times when I just can't make myself do it. It just makes you feel so good when you are done though! Way to go car!

I, too, hate exercising while I am doing it, but afterwards I feel great. I hope things are going okay for you and that they will keep getting better and better.

I'm sorry that you are going through a rough patch! If you are ever in Salt Lake, because I am never in Logan, you should let me know. We could get lunch or something!

I've tried jogging but I just can't make myself do it! I'm more of a pilates girl...it takes no coordination. I bet it's beautiful up by the temple though. And how fun to have a puppy jogging buddy!

That is so good that you have some kind of outlet from the everyday life. That is fun that Coco likes to get out. I hope everything is going well.

So one of your friends from brigham city - Claire Thornock- came in to my work on saturday and I got to help her pick out her dress- she looked so darn pretty and her family was so much fun! I was so excited when I found out that they knew you! Just thought I would share that with you:)

I LOVE running...you really can solve the world's problems with a good run! It always helped me deal with professors and exams a little better and made me feel better overall! And if you can't belt it out while you're running, then you're just not having enough fun!!! P.S. You have a perfect jogging partner!
