I love my job

If I may share some news that makes me very happy. . . we got a big construction job at work today! I have done a little to help the estimators working on the bid and worked a couple 15-hour-days; I'm just ecstatic that all the hard work paid off.

I love my job. I know that I had some extra help from the Lord to get me here. When Mike and I got engaged, I was ready to leave the company I work for. It was a stressful job, it was really hard to go to school and keep working full time, there was always drama, and I hated how I felt every day when I left work. If it weren't for a few sweet girls like her, I probably would have left much sooner than I did. I knew there was an office for the company I work for in Smithfield, but I didn't want to keep working for the company so I didn't even think to call this office and see if the manager had any positions open. But I felt like I should at least call, so I did. I'd worked with the Smithfield manager when I worked in Ogden. I called and told him I was getting married and moving to Logan and asked if he'd need help with anything. He told me there wasn't room for anyone else in their small office but he'd keep me in mind. As soon as he hung up the phone with me, the receptionist walked into his office and gave her two weeks notice because she'd found a different job. And so here I am :) That, my friends, is just one of the ways everything worked out when Mike and I got married, and one of the many ways the Lord has taken my hand and guided me to new opportunities.
