when mike's gone & birthday wishes. . .

when mike's gone, bad things happen. he has been training in SLC for the past couple of months, so he leaves at 6am and gets home around 7pm. anyway- the last time he was there, i got a flat tire in the parking lot at school. me being the completely non-emotional gal that i am (not). . . i just sat there and cried. why couldn't this happen when mike was here to help me?! when i called mike he asked if i knew how to change a tire and i just laughed. no, i don't know how to change a tire. i cook, clean, do laundry- boys change the tires! :) but thanks to our friend phil, the tire was fixed and i recovered from the trauma.

mike left for SLC again yesterday morning, and to make a long story short, i ended up locked out of the house, so i had no car keys and no way to get inside. (needless to say- we will be getting a spare house key made pronto!) luckily my mom was here in logan and drove me out to wellsville so i could borrow my mother in law's truck and make it to school & work. i have the greatest family and in laws. one good thing about it all- there is a handicapped sticker in my mother in law's truck so i got a suh-weet parking spot on campus. i'll be very glad when mike's done going to SLC and closer to home.

i would like to leave you with a picture of lovely miss lisa who is turning the big 2-2 today. she is one of my favorite girls and i'm sad we don't get to see each other more. we've had lots of fun going to concerts, taking a crazy road trip to vegas, and i'm pretty sure we were the only people who watched the martha stewart apprentice on TV. Happy Birthday Lis!

Happy Birthday Lisa! Carly I am SO sorry!! I would have been the same way...I have no clue how to change a tire. I once got a flat by the mall...and I just sat in my car with my doors locked...and my seat reclined until help arrived...I was afraid I was going to die. Ah, the timing right? I didn't know Mike was training in Salt Lake...you'll have to email me and tell me what new job that boy is training for...love ya!

You're so sweet! Birthdays are fun and I'm old now! That photo is awesome. Death cab and Mates of State...ah...good times. I miss you! Nate and I got a flat tire on New Years Eve. It sucks. Luckily we have men to take care of these things for us. Yay for being married!

I'm proud to say that we watched the Martha Stewart Apprentice...even if we were the only ones. :)
