california

Mike and I just celebrated our first anniversary! My cousin Lindsey got married the day after our anniversary, so we flew to California to be there for her wedding and enjoy an anniversary trip. We ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, mmmm

The wedding was gorgeous- there were flowers and candles everywhere. Lindsey's colors were pink and gold, very classy. There was a band playing throughout the night, and the food was delicious. It was fun to see all our family in California. We were so glad to be there.

Mike served his mission in East LA so we spent a day driving down Whittier Boulevard, through the projects, and he showed me all the places he lived and served. It was awesome to see the place he spent 2 years of his life. Our trip concluded with a fabulous evening in West Hollywood. We went to the play, wIcked. It was so great. I loved every minute of it. The music for that play is amazing, and even better performed live.

I am so excited that you have a blog now! I have been resisting the urge for quite a while now. I should just give in! I'm excited to see more of what's going on with you two...by the way, extremely jealous of your CA trip, especially the El Pollo Loco!
